Web measurement is used for two kinds of Web evaluation: the quality analysis of the Web documents or systems and the usability of the Web documents themselves. Web tomography comes from the medical field and differs between the measurement process and the (later) evaluations, explorations or interpretations. This kind of measurement with respect to Web tomography in general is based on the following separation of the measurement process and the following evaluation, analysis or interpretation activities (see Dumke, R.; Lother, M.; Sch äfer, U.; Wille, C.:  Web Tomography - Towards e-Measurement and e-Control. In: Abran et al.: Software Measurement - Research and Application, Proc. of the IWSM/Metrikon 2004, Berlin, November 2004, Shaker Publ.,S. 245-254).
