SML@b Web Measurement Suite (WMS) PDF Print


The Web Measurement Suite (WMS) was developed in a diploma thesis by Michael Weiß (Konzeption und prototypische Implementation einer agentenbasierten Web-Qualitätssicherung, University of Magdbeurg, 2004) and considers more than two hundred of metrics for web site analysis and evaluation. These metrics was allowed to calibrate and adjusted by the user and are defined on meaningful initial thresholds. The WMS tool was implemented as an agent-based system based on the following infrastructure.




The WMS tool allows to create new projects (as evaluation) and store the current evaluations supporting a widely used kinds of Web site analysis and evaluation.




The set of metrics are defined and can be extend by the users. The concept of Web site analysis is based on predefinitions like as following.




The evaluation was shown in any (linked) tables in different (sub) levels and areas (see the following figure).




An example of Web site evaluation considering different faculty of computer science in Germany is shown in the following figure.
