The Software eValuation System (SVS) was implemented in a diploma thesis by Heike Hegewald (Implementation des Prototyps eines Softwarebewertungsplatzes, University of Magdeburg, 1991). This tool is based on the quality model of McCall and consists of the following evaluation criteria:

svs01

Every quality factor is based on a specification including their content, kind of measurement and scaling like shown in the following example.

svs02

The quality factor evaluation can be done as ad hoc decision or can be performed as ad hoc measurement (in this case as tool-based metrication for Turbo Psascal programs).

Every factor evaluation has a simple bar diagram visualization as following:

The quality evaluation can be presented in different levels based on McCall quality criteria.

An example of the SVS application is given as following. Note, that the testability and reliability are measured of the programs directly.
